A large handmade stoneware mug glazed in Storm Drifter — deep cobalt and slate blue that runs in heavy vertical drips, breaking over a warm sandy band near the foot. The rim and handle carry a toasted edge where the glaze thins. Wheel thrown one at a time; only one of these is currently in stock, and the glaze movement on it will never repeat.

What makes this mug unique?
The storm glaze moves in the kiln, so the drips, waves, and the sandy break on this exact mug happened once and only once. What you see in the photos is the exact piece that ships.
How this mug was made
Thrown on the wheel from stoneware, trimmed at leather hard, handle pulled and attached by hand, bisque fired, dipped and layered in glaze, then fired until the blue began to run.
Care instructions
- Dishwasher safe on a normal cycle, though hand washing keeps the glaze glossy for longer
- Microwave safe — no metallic glazes or lustres are used
- Avoid extreme thermal shock, such as a freezer-cold mug under boiling water
- The unglazed foot ring may be lightly abrasive on soft wood; use a coaster

- Out-of-stock mugs can still be ordered. Please allow up to one month for a new one to be made, and note the glaze pattern will be unique to your firing.
